DIGESTIVE GROWTH, pt I & II
The two-part work starts with the discovery of plastiglomerates and explores the mycelial network of fungi and its ability to break down and digest plastics by highlighting the potential for using natural systems to solve human-made environmental problems.
The sculpture was created using a generative algorithm to simulate fungal growth.
