ANISSA TAVARA (born 1992, Hamburg) holds degrees in both Engineering and Fine Arts. She received her artistic education from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, with a study abroad at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Her practice explores the tension between digital abstraction and material embodiment, specifically grounded in a material-driven, form-finding approach, with a strong focus on biomaterials and their processual behavior. Central to her work are translations between analog and digital space — negotiating object- and image-based logic, control and material autonomy.
