ANISSA TAVARA (born 1992, Hamburg) holds a degree in engineering and is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, where she will continue in the Master's program. In 2024, she studied abroad at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Her practice engages with the tension between digital abstraction and material embodiment, specifically grounded in a material-driven, form-finding approach, with a strong focus on biomaterials and their processual behavior. Central to her work are translations between analog and digital space — negotiating object- and image-based logic, control and material autonomy.
