A BUNCH OF SILVERFISH
pt. I - AI generated image as UV-print on aluminium, plastics, paper, clay (coated) - 16 x 9 x 1,7 cm
pt. II - moving image (2:25 min.), aluminium, plastics - 25,5 x 26,5 x 4,2 cm
The two-part work begins with an observation, an artificially generated image and a piece of paper. It explores the relationshipbetween humans and the natural world through the use of technology and materiality - creating a visual dialogue between ancient creatures and modern technology, as well as the human within it. The work touches upon the questions of authorship and perspective.
The pattern of the artwork was transferred onto aluminum using a template made from a piece of paper that had been eaten by silverfish. I was looking for a similar pattern and found it in my body: Where Is My Skin, 2024
